Project: Geriatric Dinosaur

I'm digging the tube work...and yeah, air shocks would be awesome

It should be nicely tied in... My rock rails were not tied into the cage, but they will be this time. The header panel and front fenders will need notching when its done too.

Yes, air shocks would be cool, but I know how to make rear leafs work really good. I am not real excited about linking the rear and learning how to balance my Jeep all over again, but after six or seven sets of leaf springs, this WILL be my last set and I'll learn how to make a 4 link work, one way or another!!!:rattle::D

fwiw, the 4 link in the back of my jeep was just tossed in there with approximately zero thought put into it, and ask colin about how balanced/planted it feels to drive...go for it dude :)

Tube work done... now needs paintwork and fender notching/re-installation work. Fenders are about done now... I had to cut more off than I wanted to (didn't get the a-pillar bars as tight to the body as I originally planned), but it will work. Fenders are just sheetmetal at this point anyway. Lousy cell phone pic, but you get the idea. I'll get better pics once I get some paint on it.

I like it :)

what size tubing did you use?

The whole cage (interior and exterior) is 1-5/8" .120 wall DOM.

needs less inner fenders and more dove nose ;)

looking good though Andy.

LOL... The thought crossed my mind, but I have never NOT made a line because of my front bumper. It has been speared DIRECTLY into the ground and into rocks quite a few times, and but in either case that was nothing a throttle pedal couldn't fix. Also, there are no stress cracks of any kind in that metal, so its sticking around.

looks great Andy, although i do find it silly that many of us now have fancy tube work but none of us have put it to use
