PrePaid phone

Does anyone on here use a prepaid cell phone? Anyone else consider using it? I have been with cingular for 2 years (contract). I don't use it much, most of my calls are mobile to mobile (most of my family has it). So I am paying for all these minutes that I don't use. The MOST I have ever been on the phone is prolly 10 minutes at a time. My contract is up, and I don't reall want to go back with cingular. Ever since they merged with AT&T, the service has sucked.
Any input will be helpful. I will prolly go lookin at some phones tomorrow....

The reason your service "sucks" isn't because they merged, but because you haven't updated your phone since they merged. Try getting your SIM Card updated to a smartchip. I bet you that you still have the old one in your phone if you haven't updated your phone in 2 years. They too have a prepaid plan including mobile to mobile on their pay as you go prepaids.

Well, I get shitty reception around here now, and my voicemail has NEVER worked properly (told them about it a dozen times). No matter what the case is, im not signing any damn contracts this go around. I will pay the extra 100 dollas for a phone for peace of mind.

prepaids are generally a good idea if you use under 300 minutes a month. since i don't think you can get free mobile to mobile on a prepaid, that will have to include all your minutes.
That's what i figured. I doubt i would use even 200 minutes a month.

I did for a few years. I had Tracfone. But I was an extremely low minute user. Like probably 15-20 minutes a month. But I had reception all over the country, the only thing I didn't like was that it uses two minutes for every 1 of talk time in roaming.

It depends. If I put in my home zip code, I got a pretty small area. But if I put in a zipcode for a bigger city, my area was huge.

It spanned an area from Chicago, to almost Eau Claire,WI(close to Minneapolis) over to Milwaukee. Then down to the Quad Cities area.
