Possible control arms?

Hey y'all, I have a 1995 2 door xj sport. I got it in pretty rough shape but slowly fixing it up. It has what I believe is a 4 inch OME lift. I know I gotta replace it here soon cause the shocks are worn out. My question is, the other day when I was reversing, I heard a new noise so I asked my wife to put it in reverse and noticed the front diff tilted down and then seen that it was the whole axle rocking. I haven't officially gotten underneath it yet to check but I'm pretty sure it's the control arms and tracbar. What's y'all's opinions?

You should get under there and take a look.

One possible suspect is the upper control arm mount on the passenger side of the axle. That piece of sheet metal is not at all up to the job. It could be mostly broken off from the axle, just holding on by a thread.

You also haven't given your location or the degree to which your undercarriage is rusted. There are a number of potential problems other than control arms/track bar. If you are in the salt belt you could have all sorts of issues where the control arms mount to the uni-frame, issues which are not going to be solved by replacing control arms.
