Plans for August 14th run

I'm really bummed that I didn't get to join you guys today. I ended up spending most of the day either in my classroom getting ready for the 1st day or school tomorrow or trying to get school supplies during the back to school sales everyone is having. The good news is that before I started my errands I finished getting my rig back together. I will be taking it out for a test drive in just a few minutes. Hopefully the grinding noise in 4x4 mode is gone. Fingers crossed.

Well...crossing my finger didn't do me any good. After the front axle rebuild I STILL have a horrible grinding in 4x4. As I originally thought, it's definately my tcase. Looks like next weekend just got booked with wrenching.

sorry to hear! Maybe find an np231 or 241j from the junkyard?

Glad you guys had fun today! I was feeling lazy in the morning and ended up exploring some trails and meeting up with Greg Hoffman we ended up seeing some really cool places on the mountain.

Cool run! Julio did a great job leading it. He got us all through, and we came out with the same number of XJs we went in with!

Thanks everyone. That was a fun day on the mountain and I got to meet some good people, run some good trails and spend time breathing in fresh mountain air. Well, two out 3 works I guess. I think I mostly was breathing in dust today, but everything else was great.

Yes Scott, I am running the doors. Mixed emotions, but great visibility. I guess the biggest issue for me is where to put my hands while I am tilted towards the driver's door! I sure don't miss the 140 lbs those two doors weighed with power window motors etc.

Glad you guys had fun today! I was feeling lazy in the morning like i always do and ended up exploring some trails and meeting up with my BFF Greg Hoffman we ended up seeing some really cool places on the mountain.

Had a good time as well. Was glad that everyone that went made it through with no issues. I didnt get home till about 10p as we stopped in san berdookie for some Ablerto's Mexican food. The place had a "C" rating and im guessing it was from the dirty rocker mexican kid at the counter. Next time we start @ Deep creek-Holcomb-JohnBull.

:P

Thinking maybe a camping trip next month if anyone is interested? Lemme know.

That's what you get for ditching us.

I managed to take a few photos of Sunday's run, but didn't get shots of everyone. Nothing fancy.
My son Troy and I had a great time, it was a nice day. It's always good to put faces to the names from NAXJA. Thanks to Julio for leading the run, nice meeting everyone else!
