Pismo in late March

I'm down. It'd be nice to finally make a run and meet some of you guys.

Pismo scares me because of sand. I HATE how sand gets EVERYWHERE. Are there any precautions that should be considered before hitting the sand?

Don't go in the water!!!! your jeep will instantly turn into a block of rust! salt water is BAAAAD

Not to hijack this thread any farther...

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We went directly to nearest spray car wash and washed every part we could get to. Overall I think we got lucky, no water got in the crankcase or in the Jeep itself. I think we got quite a few looks running in the water that day.

My two XJ's did fine the last time I went to Pismo. We did meet this guy Terry with an Xj and an MJ Trailer, he mentioned NAXJA and that he like Holister Hills. I have yet to catch up with him again. Anyway, he did short out his Alternator from playing in the Salt Water.

I may actually be up for this one, I'll take my wifes XJ. The only thing I do know that would keep me is a wedding I have to go to. It's around the weekend of 20th.

Hey maybe I could actually meet some you guys if you come down by my place.

Pismo is only half an hour from me.
One word of warning for a Pismo run in March. A couple of years ago, I went wheelin' out there at the end of March and it had rained pretty good the previous couple of weeks. the creek crossing was VERY HIGH!!!!!

the water was up to my hood in some places. So be warned if it rains before you go!!

other than that, Pismo is pretty fun. Let me know when anyone is gonna be there and I will meet up with ya

So, uh...bump. Month and a half away, not too early to think about it.

I've got midterms coming up and I just want to wheel.

I'm going to Pismo for the weekend on May 21-22. If anyone would like to join us.....come awn!

When you guy's decide to come on down let me know and I will meet you there. I only live a about 30 minutes away and a group of friends and I are planning on goining at the end of this month to try out some new mods we put on our rigs.

'93 Cherokee, D44hp 4.56 front, Pro rock 60 4.56 rear, both with Detroit Lockers on 35" MTR's, and a full exocage.

Ok, it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to my own Pismo run, but I hope a group does make it out there. Bump for the guys that can go.

I am still going to be there with my jeep club. We will be camping back in the dunes. It will be a fairly large group. I have a white 88 4 door with black rims, stop buy and I'll buy you a beer!

Wow, this is a new low, bailing on your own run. Appropriate reputation points assessed.
