From what I have read, the main thing you need to be careful of is "banjo music." I read one report where rebar was set in puddles to act as a spike strip and when the people set up camp someone started a fire on the trail on both sides of them, essentially trapping them on the trail. I plan to be more "equipped" for the K-trail than a normal trip (read long gun vs pistol).

It seems like reviews you read on products online. A lot of people do the trail with no problems, but you only hear about the bad experiences.

I had read on Facebook somewhere about the spike strip, just didn't realize that was like k trail.

It seems the general consensus that Barnwell is out for rides of March. So that leaves the possibilities of Hidden Falls, k trail, and the other park TMTC runs

I looked your new kit up. How does it keep you from having to disconnect the sway bar? Does it improve the ride on the street?

Magic. Yes ... especially since I don't have a sway bar at all right now.

It is a Torsion bar with arms attached to the ends. I got it mainly because I cannot run a stock sway bar with my trac bar mount.

Flat Tow 4x4 XJ

OK with my new camper setup on my truck I am thinking about flat towing instead of trailering my XJ if I need a trail vehicle.

Won't do it a lot but maybe for areas like Big Bend or Palo Duro where I want to go off the really beaten path.

Anybody know of or heard of any issues?
