Did my 44 and 30 3 or 4 years ago. Wasn't that bad, just got a harbor freight dial indicator. A press would have made it easier.

I bought a 10 ton Dake press thinking the quality would be better than HF. After receiving it, I should have just bought a Harbor Freight press FWIW.

I did end up buying the hf 8 ton and have been pretty happy with it, the body dies have some wobble, but i know some people weld them to prevent that

That would be the easiest. You can pretty much always make more money parting an MJ if you have the time and space to keep it around.

XJ axles front and rear fit at the same time with the rear seat removed/down. A WJ front fits with shocks and control arms still attached. Never tried full size.

Rubicon 44 front and an 8.8 rear... I've fit a d30 before diagonal and I know an 8.8 Is narrower... So I think I can cross them and be ok
