I noticed that there are alot of users on here that are into mtb/downhill so I figured I would start a thread dedicated to trip reports, trail conditions, tech, pics, etc.
Ill start. I have an 04' intense with marz forks, shimano saint and raceface comps, and 5th element rear shock. It is a pretty nice setup right now but I have been bottoming out alot.
Northstar Trip: The girls didnt want to hike the trails to take pictures of the runs so the pics are mainly around the lift (lame). The trails are reaaaaally fast and the jumps on livewire had alot of flow and the drops on boondocks were 8 feet plus. No major injuries but I did get bucked over the bars and into a rock when I cased one of the many doubles on livewire.

Getting on the lift for livewire and boondocks which are the 2 best at Star IMHO
At the top vista after the first couple runs....
My buddies GF getting ready to ride his bike down to the parking lot for him because he thought he broke his wrist. (found out today it was just a severe sprain but it swelled up really well)
All in all a good day of riding. Perfect weather...... as far as difficulty I would give livewire an 8/10 and boondocks a 9/10. Northstar has plenty of trails for every level of rider so any type of mountain bike would be cool. Tickets run 40 bucks for an all day pass and they are worth it.....
More trails and riders to come hopefully!
