Noobfest 2006---March 5th

I regret to say me and my friend will not be coming. Im sorry for the short notice backing out.

My grandfather is in the hospital as of the other night with severe chest pain. They think he is fine but are doing cardiac tests etc. I apologize- I really wanted to go, but this takes priority.

Perhaps some people would be up for just a TSF run in a few weeks......that said when i turn in 18 in may i will join and become much more involved...

At least the next couple weeks wont be totally xj-less, next weekend smittybilt front bumper and a new stock rear bumper (thanks, built ford tough) are going on......I also am getting a used hitch off craigslist and there is a chance with the tax return for an RE 2" bb.....and for sure http://www.northgatewaytire.com/products/ltruck/r_mud_terrain/MM_rvt_b.JPG

ill let people know, maybe we could have a portlander wrench party for the BB .

im now working 5 days a week so you might not hear from me as much. thanks and sorry for backing out

mmm why not throw in a picture of me looking retarded

I'm planning to show up tomorrow and my wife is coming along too. One of my sons was going to bring his XJ but ended up having to work instead. Anyone else bringing wives or kids to breakfast or will it be a guys only deal? Also does anyone have CB & GMRS radios? We have no CB but do have the GMRS radios.

Bringing a 4 year old Hellion. :)

I Went over some rock piles and the start, got stuck, smashed the front pass fender in, gas tank holds less fuel now, slightly bent tie rod, and there is a weird popping noise coming from the front. But I did get out! Ohh well, gives me a good excuse to upgrade.

Had a BLAST everyone!! Thanks for making this Sunday run a successful one!

I hope those with Stock rigs enjoyed this trip. I'm not stock but sure had a LOT of fun. Something there for everyone!

You guys from Oregon that couldn't come should be proud of your representation! Brian (pdxnoob) did one HELL of a great job in some of the tougher spots in the trails. He skipped a bunch of the bypass areas and CHARGED on full steam. (There are a few places that I would have easily taken the bypass in a stocker...). Great to have you along, Brian! You can wheel with us anytime and I'm excited to see that video!!

Here's how we honor our out of town guests ;) :

We had as many rigs with us as we did last summer at Northwest Fest. I'm excited to see this sort of turnout (or better even!!) at TSF this year for Northwest Fest. I'll just post as many (or as few) pics as I was able to take.

I was the outcast with the 4runner, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for letting me tag along.

Outcast, nah......You're just another four wheeler with a different take on what's cool.

Glad you had fun!

I got this in an email at work today:

ODE to the mud gods.....

Oh pretty tires with your tread so wide,
Raised body for a better ride,
Throwing mud all down the side,
who likes mud flaps anyway?.....
