New Owner and Member Intro

Howdy all. I've been lurking this site for a few months doing my homework and yesterday I pulled the trigger on a cherokee.

I got a 2000 with a 3.5 lift and a few other things and couldn't be happier. I'm in Lake Elsinore and hope to get out on the local runs and meet some folks. I also wanted to just say thanks for all the info that has been posted here because it really made holding out for something I would be happy with out the door much easier.

I tell ya. The amount of info I learned off this site just reading over the past few months was worth every penny to join up.

I have a D15 tag. My Oldest son has his 5th Bday tomorrow but we scheduled it so I can help break down the party and get out before dark and will be out all day Sunday.

I have my spot and I know there are a couple shootable bucks there as I've seen them a few times now so hopefully I'm successful before Monday. I've never hunted with a bow. A long time ago I shot a recurve and did a little bit of family shoots at Malibu Mtn Archery with a buddy who was a member but that was 15+ years ago.

I'm also a avid fly fisherman so if anyone is into that let me know as well.

So is it normal to already have spent hours into the early morning looking at different doohickies that now I'm scheming how to acquire without my wife finding out? LOL

D15 is a cool local tag. You can always tag out on Catalina if you get desperate. I saw a nice 4 pt near the fire station up top a few months ago.
