new comanche

Thanks man! I meant I wanted to copy his axle set up since I have them in storage already, using the radius arms and all that.

id use the radius arms for the simplicity of the swap, just a frame side mount for the radius arms basically and lengthen the radius arms, then use the single shear trackbar mount on the ford 44 . pretty simple. just please dont do 4.88s, because if I didnt have a 30 front id be at 5.38s or deeper right now. youll be way happier. my rig turns these 36s pretty good, but it leaves something to be desired. 38s+ would leave more. Allen , or A1, is a special case for stock gears since he has very large balls.

Little pic from this weekend. 4.88s and 36s are great.

Finally got the oil leak fixed and exhaust rattle fixed. Things driving pretty good! Still need to finish passenger side seat bracket, radio/speakers, bed liner, front bumper.

About to pull the trigger on a bumper and otk steering setup. how hard is it to drill and ream out the knuckles/pitman arm? im looking at the jcr otk steering, and the dirtbound mojave non winch front bumper.

as long as you use a brand new 3/4" drill bit for the hems you should be fine, use oil and go slow and steady and itll cut through like butter.

I would recommend just drilling through and using the goferit (or other) instead of reaming.

Ya i asssuming hiem setup and using 3/4" bolts. you can get inserts from goferit for the XJ stuff and from Ruffstuff for the bigger stuff...

Picked up a sleeved oem tierod for free with good tre's. came at a good time too, lost my job. Should be able to get another soon, I hope.

couple tech questions for you guys.

*If i set a crush sleeve too tight(d44a), causing some bearing noise, would i be able to back it off a bit to relieve the noise? or will i have to replace the sleeve and re-torque?

*8.25 29 spline, picked up in fresno(for dads xj), took the guys word that it was fine. found minor "indentions" on ring gear maybe .25mm deep and follows pinion gear pattern maybe .5' long, on each tooth on forward side. he said there were no noises or anything. should i worry about this? he was on 33's then 35's. it has l.s. the r&p are around a year old.

*what degree shim are you guys using for a ~5 lift in back of a xj.

thanks

brackets going on the zj. doing the hp44 and 9 from a 79 bronco.
