My daughter, Olivia Ruth Nevins was born this Sunday very early at 12:49am, 7/29. She is 15 weeks premature, only 25 weeks spent developing. There were many problems with the pregnancy, necessitating the very early c-section. As can be expected she still is having many problems. Her battle right now is her heart. The doctors will be doing an ultrasound today to examine it and find out if its the cause of her super-low blood pressure. She's on a ventilator to help her breathe and all kinds of medicines. Morphine, Dopamine and Epinephrine that I can recall. For those who've had experience with Epinephrine, its the same stuff used in the Marine Corps to "jump start" a fallen Marine's heart in the event of a biological attack. She's on a constant drip and her heart is still running too weak.
So, she needs prayers, lots of prayers to make it.
On a related sidenote, if anyone has a minivan or large sedan/wagon they feel like donating to the cause...When she comes home we'll have 3 car seats to fit and neither my XJ nor the wife's Focus will fit them.
