Congrats man. My wife had very rough pregnancies and labors with both my sons. (2,5). I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Glad to hear all is well. All long as he's has all 10 fingers and toes there's not much more a parent can ask for. Again congrats.

Now that the worst of it is over (except for the next 18+ years!!)-- Congratubleepinglations, Mike!! And my condolences to your son... in this picture, they just told him who his daddy is...

and then he realized what kind of amazing luck it meant, having you as a dad, and

4 pounds and he already kicked a nurse in the boob to celebrate his parentage. He is so my son!

All joking aside, you are all incredibly fortunate, and I'm sorry that this happy event became such a potential nightmare for you all! Your son has an amazing life ahead of him!! My heartfelt congratulations, and wishes for a really rapid recuperation for Tiana & GJ (Grimm Junior... GJ... that is what you're gonna call him, right? It'd be so epic to have to repeatedly explain where he ended up with those initials for a name).

for those of you who are not on my FB, I have an update. Momma is up and moving about on her own and keeping food down this morning. they are letting her go see the baby for the first time since 2 mins after he was born right about now.

Her spirits are way up and she's doing great, the boy is still getting stronger every hour.

I couldn't imagine going through what you did, but I am glad that you had a very positive outcome! Congrats on your son! Try not to sell the XJ to pay for diapers and lawsuits related to girls getting kicked in the boobs.

the baby is doing GREAT i just got home from sitting with him for an hour, he's moving around like a cornered bobcat and he is OFF THE VENTILATOR AND BREATHING ON HIS OWN! the doc's cant believe it they said its unheard of for a baby this premature to breath as well as he does. he's making all kinds of emotional facial expressions, its crazy watching this little guy fight so hard.

everyone loves pics right?

all thats left on him is the heart and breathing sensors and a just in case IV so they dont have to keep sticking him. oh and the little tube they have to feed him with because he can't breastfeed yet. all in all he's kicking ass! the docs changed the expected release time from 4-6 weeks to 2-3 weeks because he's advancing so fast.


can you tell i'm proud of him? haha!
