Yup, finished very strong. Zero mechanical issues, but unfortunately the rig got banged up pretty badly today. Small BFH should fix most of it.

When I was driving, I was keeping pace with a Porsche 928, a V8 RX7 and other 'better' cars than a nearly bone stock XJ. Our lap times were pretty damn quick. Not sure of the final standings, but towards the end of the race we were 2nd in our class.

Pics and probably a new thread in the next day or so, I still have to make the ~13 hour drive home tomorrow.

that is just awesome man! keepin pace with a Porsche! wicked kewl! as they say in the "big leagues" .. rubbing is racing! lol body dents/dings is almost expected in any race. just dont let that funky lookin batmobile get under ya! (it may flip ya, not good in a race).

ok now i may have missed it if there was a link to all this "class" things, so tell us again, what decides on what car is in what class? (i.e. the xj is a station-wagon so it's in the the "s.w." class, etc., etc.?) or is it engine size, front-wheel drive, to rear wheel drive to 4x4? what?
anyway, that is totaly awesome that you are keepin up with the "sportier" cars!!!
 keep up the great work!!!

paint one of these on the rear hatch -----> :moon:
:roflmao: i'm sure it'll confuze the ones "BEHIND" you lmao

Check out the sweet ride on page 14 of the May 2010 JP mag.

Turns out my friend at work who did this last year is doing it again this year at Stafford in Connecticut, hopefully the NAC plan goes well... will donate parts!

His crew is doing a Nissan Pathfinder, so we won't be the only SUV on the track :roflmao:

Awesome! What are the rules with regards to the headlights, taillights, windows, etc.? I see some cars have them others don't. Also, are you required to strip the interior?

What was wrong with your cage that they made you change it?
