Just awesome! Building an XJ myself, you've given me the last push of confidence I needed that an XJ can race!

Where are you located?

Thanks for the offer! Just FYI, the organizers put an entry fee for crew members of $75. Unfortunately we're not in a financial position to cover that...but you would get an official LeMons T-shirt and paddock access for two days. :)

i read up on lots of the lemons rules from their website & am doing my best to restrain myself from buying an old ice cream truck & a turban to wear over my helmet.
imagine the fun of racing while playing "pop goes the weasel" over & over, lap after lap. :explosion
or how about an old postal jeep. team name of course would be "going postal" :confused1

i will cover the $75 to get into the action, so my offer to help still stands...

We'll find out in March if our Charlotte entry is accepted for May 22-23 in Kershaw.

With any luck, there will be an East Coast NAXJA Lemons team :)

We'll have about 10 weeks to find a ride, get it prepped and go racing.

There is also a Connecticut location... since we discussed a new england area NAC entry, that's a pretty good location.

(still gotta actually consider doing it)

I think Le Mons is scheduled for Palm Beach International Raceway if an East team goes. Ill pay $75 to help!

We're going as a squadron team so I'm not sure if we're going to end up with an XJ.

Right now we've got some contacts at the junkyards, but we have to get accepted first.

We can't afford to travel all over, but there are two races in charlotte this year.

race is next weekend at sears point, whats the status of your rig? still going?
It was close, but yes, we're going. Leaving tomorrow, actually. We've got a really cool off-road/celebrity joining the crew, whose story may grace the pages of a glossy perodical near you some time soon.

Come on out and be a part of Naxja racing!

IXNAYXJ, congrats & keep on TRUCKIN in that funky thang!!! lmao
wish i was able to be there to lend a hand. that super bird wing looks completely out of place on the xj but it fits it! lol
after seein the pics ya posted, that xj looks more like a "race car" than some of the other cars there!! love the one with you passin the two camaro's:thumbup:

good luck on the next race! (by the way you said top 3rd teams? that is killer!!!)

anyone else going tomorrow?
the wife & i are planning on attending this preposterous event!

Look forward to seeing you there.

If you know anybody with a spare D35 laying around, keep them on stand by. Rear end is making a bunch of noise.

Actually, I got one already out of the vehicle in the bay area if you need it, but it is a bit of a haul from Sears Point to pick it up. Just bring your old one and it is yours.
