NAXJA give-away XJ build party at the fun factory

Hey guys; I'vs been watching this thread and even though I cannot make it out there on a weekend I would like to help.
Is there anything that I can build for the rig?
Perhaps I can knock something together and get someone to take it out to "the fun factory"?
Just let me know.

Tom woods is shipping the rear driveshaft tomorrow!

Thanks Tom!

He said he appreciates all the NAXJA support over the years.

I wish I lived in the Sierra Chapter. The NWC is gay.

Hey guys, I'll make the assumption that you are aware that other people can access this thread. With that in mind, how 'bout sending me a PM with thoughts on how to make a better hood vent that still covers the holes left by the Lebaron vents and doesn't allow water, snow, whatever, to soak the engine electronics? There should be time for us to make the hood vent you want.

my 2 cents: replicate an exact copy of Lebanon vents.
they are hands down the best looking vents for an xj.
there are so many guys running them that many people think they were a factory installed option.
they are getting harder to find in junk yards.
if you were to develop a duplicate replacement & include a paper cutting template to simplify installation i am sure they will sell very well.
you may wish to run an opinion poll in the product development section to gauge opinions.

We're just having a little fun, thanks for not taking offense to what has been said. Seriously, we all appreciate your contribution to the give away build.

I will have to agree with Tim on this one. The recessed LeBaron hood vents look pretty good and have that factory installed type feel to them. If you were to replicate them with some type of a universal lower water catch tray I bet they would sell pretty well. That is the only knock on the LeBaron vents that I have seen, they allow water to get onto the engine and electronics. Another factory style vent that looks pretty good are on the 98 ZJ 5.9 Limited.

X2 on this.
I have a pair of LeBarons gathering dust in my closet(literally!) because I'm unsure about the water dripping all over my sensors. Whip up something similar with some drip pans and ill be your first buyer.

Very cool of you to offer this. I have not seen them in person but my thought is they look like they stick up quite a bit. I like vents that stay fairly flush to the hood.

Interested to see what you come up with
