NAXJA give-away XJ build party at the fun factory

We got the front winch bumper sitting on the shelf, the rear with tire carrier is coming along nicely.

Not to step on Tim's toes, but there was a discussion as to what to do with the rear lower quarter panels while waiting for the rear bumper. Do they need to be cut and folded and/or removed for the bumper to fit? Or are they fine in the stock form?

Thanks.

They opted for the standard rear tire carrier, so no cut and fold needed.
I did however say I would throw in the lower quarter armor, to help finish the look off. (the bolts will be counter sunk)

looks great.
when will they be shipped to me so we can install them?
we could sure use the front bumper so we can get the winch mounted & wired up.
thanks for your support!

btw: the build party will continue this saturday, the start time will be after doggie school.
i'll post the time when i know.
jose jalapeno & alan are planning on stopping by for a while as well.

Last I heard there was some talk of a few socal members possibly heading up for a weekend, if possible we would have them take the bumpers up. These things are not cheap to mail even just a few hundred miles away.

The rear should be done by friday.

COOL! So very soon

Can you PM Kucklehead for a weekend and start a thread in SoCal to get the ball rolling?

I anticipate a lot getting done this weekend as you guys will be unsupervised. I have prior commitments this weekend and will not be there to partake in the fun. Someone bring a camera and take some real pictures. Tim, have a couple extra tacos for me and I'll see you guys next time.

I can drop my heep off so you can install some mid-arms and and a gas tank skid. We can load the bumpers in your Dub and I'll deliver them to Tim's house. Sound good? Ha.

How'd it go today?
Sorry I couldn't make it, had to get my truck back together.

Got some work completed today. Axles in, sway bar back on, brakes bled, shifter is 95% finished.

Still waiting on tires.

Oh, and the napier hood vents look pretty bad ass!
