My HP44 swap

Hey is there any way you can tell me if the tie rod arm is in the same location on the Reid knuckle as the stock 78 Ford knuckle? I want to get one of the Reid knuckles for my passenger side, and leave the stock ford knuckle on the driver side. I would like to know if my tie rod will be straight.

The Reid knuckles are built off of the bronco style knuckles. (In the Ford version). As per the high steer arms you can buy different arm lengths depending on what set up you are doing. I am very happy that I got a set of Reid knuckles, they have so much BEEF. I hope I answered your question.

Yes they are the same, the problem is diffrent tapers. Unless you ream the tie rod to 1 ton, some Fords already had them mine did. You will probably want to do both though after you see how much beefyer they are, call Del at WFO concepts 530-268-9494
You are talking F150 and F250 right? Cuz F350 would be totally diffrent.

I think he is talking about the stock steering arm locations, so he can run a cross over steering like I did. What breaks are you running, I assume you are running F150 or Chevy, cuz 2 pistons are not going to work unless you change knuckels? Anyone Anyone?

X2 on WFO & Del. Del is a blast to work with on getting parts ordered up. I just met the guy this past Monday. Great guy! We may have him at this up & coming sierra fest.

Right. I want to run my drag link to a high steer arm on the passenger side, and leave my tie rod in the stock location. I'm running one ton tie rod ends, so I would have to ream the Reid knuckle anyway. My tie rod is on the top of the stock arms.

Trevor and Del are the guys that donated the tie rod for the Sierrafest. They knew little of Naxja but did it anyway. I met Trevor when I was looking for a shop to do my gear install in my 44. These guys are way cool and go out of thier way to make shiit happen. My install kit came with the wrong tube seals so he just installed the right ones no questions asked. Glad to see other Naxja junkies using them.. That reminds me, I have to bring the leftover sway back. I think an 18 pack is in order to thank them for the goodies..

Nice build by the way!!

You would need to drill the Reid knuckel and drop in a tapered insert, they are already one ton however the taper is going the wrong way to run it upside down; WFO sells the insters also. :peace:

Yeah it looks like the picture is backwards, I would call or order the left side, if it's wrong they will take it back, they are good guys over there.

Ok here is one more update. I got her out of the shop (my work). She is getting ready to have the T & T frame stifferns installed. Mr. Vets Xj (Bryan) is doing the install, I am just doing all of the clean up & preparation for him.
