my homemade bumper build

Just put the D-rings on there for looks right now man. Do NOT use them for any type of recovery please.

When you do them 3/4" thick make sure you put the 2 othe 1/4" pieces thru the bumper and down the mounting brackets a little wyas. Makes the whole bumper stronger for sure.

Id go with at least 2 more holes per side once you make those D-rings usable and maybe even more wen the winch gets in there.

Looks good though man cant wait to see how it turns out on the XJ.

well i got a lot of smoothing done just doin a little at a time now cause i have to finish a tire carrier for someone and that comes first. but i got some light mounts on it and some paint still have a lot to do ( prerunner bars, beef up d-ring mounts, and cap of ends ) :

well with the money i had this was all the metal i could get had so had to make it work. when i chop it up for a winch im going to chop those and add some that go all the way back.

As long as you are careful with how you jerk it around you should be alright. If your really stuck hook a strap up to each of the tabs to distribute the load better.

NICE!!! realize this is an old thread but i was browsing around and this is exactly what i am in the process of doing only with 2x2 on top and one angled underneath the top center one with a recessed hitch. And my tabs run further down the unibody. Looks good.

you ever incorporate better mounts???
