could get another set of cheap 3.5" leaves and add a extra main leaf and a traction bar....
or you could link it for all that money...

No joke I want him to link it, but if you link the rear your going to want to link the front at the same time, especially since hes running short arms

What if he just links the passenger side and leaves on the driver side ? Would you still need a trackbar

A lot more than money for parts goes into linking the rear. Tons of fab. Leafs will get it done imo and requires almost no fab. Done deal. Ill be interested in what you go with kev. Im in the same boat right now shopping for 3.5" leafs. Im looking at iro and bds. I think they both have lifetime warranties.

Only thing is I can get heims at cost (or a significant discount at least), and I work at a steel company, so material will be cheap. Those are the big ticket items aside from shocks or coilovers.

cheap leaves aren't good and good leaves aren't cheap.

Bust out the credit card.

Yeah that's true but for me it's all about finding the happy medium. Deaver is just too pricey for it to be worth it for what I do. Their G9 race pack was almost $700 and their custom packs start at $750.

IRO and BDS seem like the happy medium to me. I'm even starting to wonder if IRO sells BDS packs as their own.. They are both military wrapped. Both have a similar unique arch to them. Both have the same (similar atleast) warranty... Makes me wonder.

Price on BDS 3" before Naxja discount: $454 with free shipping to a local distributor. I figure roughly $410 after a 10% Naxja discount.

Price on IRO 3.5" is $420 shipped. Naxja half off shipping discount gets it to $370.

I called national spring but no answer...

Changing topic a little bit -- for those of you running front 3 link suspensions, how long is your upper link in relation to your lower? Shorter? Longer? Equal? Did you choose to go after keeping the caster the same as it cycles, or did you try to keep the pinion pointed at the t-case? Which was more important to you?

I've talked to National in the past. Okay it was like 10 years ago... Anyway, they were in the same price range as Deaver at the time. They were also wanting my Jeep there to make sure they made the proper lift, spring rate, etc, etc...because they didn't make off the shelf XJ leafs. Like I said though, that was quite awhile ago.

Go 25%-75% of the lower is ideal.

What sprigs did you end up going with??

That doesn't sound right... 75% makes sense but down to 25% seems a bit drastic lol

What Jon probably meant to say is, subtract 25%, because he thinks 75% length is ideal.

I really like what TORX did, I would check out his build thread in NW chapter.

My upper link is pretty close to the same length as my lowers, mainly due to where I mounted the upper link bracket. I think pinion angle is more important in a rig that sees rocks and the type of wheeling we do. In a go fast rig, caster would be more important. My pinion angle stays pretty much the same throughout suspension travel.

Lou, who did you purchase through for your BDS springs? Or if it was just a coupon code, where did you find it?
