I picked up Phil's new front axle the other day for a gear change. Dropped in a spool and some 4.88 gears for him. I probably could have changed the pinion depth one more time but I figured it was looking pretty good at this point and knocking out the baffle and shims and the carrier bearings one more time might be pushing my luck. Backlash at .005" .

Then I went ahead and painted his diff cover for him as well. :gee:

And tell them you want a single ended ram 'cuse its much easier for packaging.

Note the trick power steering reservoir mounting bracket that uses the brake booster bolts.
