Here are more progress pics. We're keeping the stock tank so it will be smog legal, which sort of dictates the width of the floor, and the rear axle is stock width, so cut outs had to be done to clear the shocks. The rear is kept kind of wide to give a little bit of tire coverage since Phil wants to drive it on the street some, and he wants to try to keep mud off his back. The tank goes in the back and the spare tire goes on top of the tank, resting on the upper tube. I can't put the rear upper tube work in that the tire will sit on until the tank is installed. Phil agreed to get rid of the stock roof, so the roof hoop will get good cross bracing and an aluminum roof.

Re: My Green Junk BLOG!!!

Looking good Richard. Where's the dog going to sit?

Re: My Green Junk BLOG!!!

There will be flat floor for dog and storage behind the seats back to the cross bar that the shocks are mounted to, and the sides will be plated all around so nothing will fall out. Phil's going to pick it up the first week of Nov. I'll try to get a few updated pics posted tonight.

Re: My Green Junk BLOG!!!

Here are a few more pics. The tube work is complete, except for a few gussets and some 1" in a few places for the rear winch mount and panel mounts. Still needs to be completely welded.
