MWC Home brew thread

Took my brew to a friends dinner the other night or had probably 6 people try it only one didn't like it! He's not much for anything besides bud light though.

Here's a couple of pics of the beer I just bottled. I have dubbed this creation Psychic Visions IPA. I used Centennials for 5 days in the dry-hop.

I have a witbier and a nutbrown on tap now.

Had to take a stab at mead making so thats what's in the fermenter now.

On deck, I want to try a Irish red next. Anyone have a good recipe?

I've got a recipe. Do you do all-grain or extract?

On a separate note here is a pic of my most recent brew. American Wheat with Falconer's Flight hops in the boil and a Citra dry-hop.

You are learning from one of the best I know....study, observe, be patient young grasshopper. I wish I had the time and space to begin brewing, but I have entirely too much going on to give it the attention it would deserve.

And I learned that good beer can be brewed with the Mr Beer kits. The oatmeal stout was good, but the pale ale was amazing. Massive quantities of hops and/or dark malty grains will hide a lot of sins, but to do a light and clean tasting beer is tricky.

Thanks for your help Rew. It was good to have an obsessive newb there to counter-balance my somewhat lackadaisical approach to brewing. :D

Both brews are fermenting nicely this morning, time to move the lager to the fridge.
