Anybody know of a set other than the rock ratz ones?
I like how they look, but I don't have $350 to drop on rails.
I called and talked to JCR, but arrangments need to be made about getting the measurements and such. I offered to drive up there, we'll see. I would build my own, but I don't have a welder.

dont drive up there - have them measure it at WF - they will be there :D

that's what they said, but I was kind of hoping to get them before WF. my t-case skid is coming tomorrow. I'd like to have rear bumper, t-cas skid, trans skid and rock rails done before I ever take it out on a trail. being a newb, I figure I should armor it before I lift it, and having a 120" whelbase doesn't help.

yes, I have a long bed MJ. I suppose I should have noted that in the original post.

You alway could buy my old ones. Shipping would be a Biatch due to the length and wieght but I will let them go for around 100 plus shipping.

interested. Are they a bolt on solution? something I can put on the truck without a welder?
I can have them shipped to work. UPS or truck freight.
I sent you a PM.

I checked into them. THey only have SWB rails available, and I've tried contacting them about LWB measurements with no results.

These are pretty much a bolt on affair. You might have to Mod the front stand off cause It is set up for Long arms and not the added bracing. Should be a matter of just cutting that part off and shortening it. IT is a bolt on. $ bolts in the pinch seam, then you will need 12 3/8 self tapping bolts per side. I do recommend welding it on though.

I've not measured precisely. but my wheelbase 119.6, so I'm probably lookig at rails at 70-75" I'd like them to go from front wheel to rear wheel. I don't know if it can be done with a solid rail, or if it needs to be two part because of the split where the bed is. I'm going to be working on the jeep this weekend, so I'll get the tape measure out and make some rough measurements on length/width. I know that the front is going to be the same as an XJ, but the rear mounts to the frame will have to be shorter, as the bed part of the frame widens after the cab.
Yeah, I'm silly. edited to fix that

if the wheel base is 119 and you are running 33" tires with turning radius figured your max length would be around 84", I would attache them to the body seam on the front and maybe a vertical support up in th rear. under the bed side, also 3 legs back to the frame rails

I've got 31's right now, fenders aren't trimmed. I'm gonna tape the tape measure out right now and measure from wheel well opening to wheel well opening. I'll post back in about 5

ok.
I just measured.
From the front edge of the pinch seam to the inside edge of my rear flare is 84"

man Im good......Id actually run em a bit shorter than that even, so when you do go bigger they willnot have to be changed.....Id probably go around 78-80 range.....remember your tire will protect the first and last few inches on either end.....toyota l ongbeds use a 78" guard

alright then. Sounds like 78" is where I need to be at. I figure that I'll be hitting the LCA frame mount before I hit the rocker about 6 inches back from the wheel well opening, since the Mj mounts are a lot longer. Have you made any Mj rails yet? Any problem with the making them a single piece, or do they have to be split at the bed like the rockratz ones? I could make them one piece, then just not attach them to the bed body. Just the cab pinch seam and the frame.

1 pcs should'nt be an issue, our SWB slyders measure in at 60", 3 outriggers,
2 that connect to the pinch seam.

I would have offered but not knowing the frame transition on a LWB makes
it kind of pointless........not many LWB survivors out this way.

Its cool We are gonna make him a set and try to get to him before winterfest....
