I'm in the market for a nice clean XJ DD .... and I found this beauty. Its about 3 hours south of me though, and my resources for getting down there and back are slim right now.

But look how nice this thing is:

Looks great! I say go for it. I think I can even see the icon for heated mirrors etched into the glass, not sure.

I have tomorrow off work. Who wants to drive me down to Slower Lower Delaware:wave1::wave1::wave1::wave1::wave1:

I'll pay for gas, lunch, and let you have the pleasure of spending three hours in a car with me!!

Thats clean... the things I worry about though is how the Jeep looks underneath. The hard brakelines, rust, stuff like that. Its a little too close to the beach for my liking. You never know though, it could have lived in a garage since new.

X2 how did I forget to say this... my Jeep would look like that one (except for my two tiny rust spots I need to fix) if I buffed it up and waxed it. I have holes the size of softballs in my floorboards and three of my hardlines blew up, the first one causing me a thousand dollars in parts and tool acquisitions and the latter two just causing minor inconvenience while I repaired them. Fuel return line and transmission cooler lines are other things you should check for rust as well - mine were really bad but I got to those before they burst.

I ran the carfax and the Jeep spent its life in Virginia. The dealer who has it now bought if from an auction in Bel Air Maryland. I asked the guy to take some pics of the underneath and of the rear axle .... he said he would tomorrow.

If everything underneath looks clean .... I'm gonna ride my bicycle down there tomorrow and get this thing.

Yeah I would agree about it living close to the beach.

However, my XJ spent it's life down on the cape for who knows how long. One of the previous owners had the underneath dunked in undercoating though, so the only real rust spots are on the passenger floor (about fist sized) and scaling in the interior.

The underside of mine still looks fairly good (minus the dents :roflmao:).

Ya, and the fact that I can see the ground when I'm in your back seat....:gee:

My green one spent its life on the cape, and No rust on it.

Hey hey, that's just the unibody separating from itself.

And my fat @$$ sent the unsupported ZJ seat frame mount through the thin floor :roflmao:.

That's part of the reason I got rid of them.

Man that does look pretty nice. Like the others said, check for rust. Specifially, the brake line that runs to the back for the rear brakes. And the reinforcement area up under the cargo area. Also check the fuel rail and the various brackets around it. Hopefully the sunroof doesnt leak too bad. I kinda wish I had one...

Lee's jeep was really clean when he got it. And when we were doing the lift, I saw that his rear brake line was so rusty it was almost falling apart. It was paper thing in a bunch of spots.

Not that that should deter you really...a cheap roll of brake line, some fittings and a flare tool will fix that issue... Just saying. Too bad he didnt include more interior shots or underhood shots. Sure got the outside from every possible angle haha.

Good luck if you decide to grab it!

Simon..See how the disease takes over..First it's one Jeep..Then you say Hey, I have a bunch of "non Jeep" vehicles..I know how to fix that, keep buying Jeeps..
