Little WY wheeling, if

The roads are going to be easy like Jeff said. They are FS roads and they will have snow (we are in search of snow that day :D ) Like everybody else said, for you, meeting at the HoJo would be quicker for you, but it is up to you if you want to meet us there or join us up in Cheyenne at the MC D's off I25 (college exit). Yes It was supposed to me AM not PM It was a cut and paste job from the e-mail sent to me by the Rough COuntry Pres. Sorry for the mistake.
If there are any specific details ask them specifical and I will try to answer them or get you the answers.

I'm gonna be running a Rifle Range day on saturday, I may be able to catch up with ya'll latter. Anyone plan on stopping in Laramie for dinner?

Griffin

so, i take it that the HoJo is off of 287 in Laramie? I'm guessing it will take me about an hour to get there. is that correct?

actually, as soon as you hit laramie off 287, take the I-80 west bound to the next exit(snowy range) at the bottom of the exit, turn left, go under I-80 and fosters is the first station on the right.

Cameron, call me at the shop. Got the last piece of your bumper coming on Sat. We need to chat about that, dropping it to you and I can fill you in with all the particulars for playing in the snow.

SO far Dean and Matt have everything right. I wouldn't expect anything crazy for the wheeling end of things. Just as Matt said, forrest service roads, drive them in a car during the summer.

To all that are planning to attend, you MUST have the following:
  • solid tow points front and rear, you will get stuck!
  • tow strap
  • shovel
  • Winter gear - coat, hat, gloves, boots, snow pants - being cold ruins your day

HIGHLY recommended items:
  • CB to call for help or to make fun of the guy in front/behind you that finds a deep spot. :)
  • extra change of clothes, especially socks - driving home wet sucks
  • dry shoes - see above
  • pack a lunch, then pack a second lunch. It can and sometimes does get really late
  • money if it snows during the day Laramie can get blocked to get out of. We've spent the night there before with highways closed

Everything listed above is common sense things for any wheeling trip. Just a friendly reminder, snow bashing is a blast if properly preparred. Show up unpreparred and it can make for a horrible experience.

I've got everything except, unfortunately, a cb. it's on my christmas list. i do have some motorola frs radios if that makes a difference.

Its lookin like im out....the lift i bought is being shipped by a freight truck...turns out they skipped a drop somewhere along the way and are heading to the east coast, with my lift in their truck and wont be heading back till later next week. Was supposed to be here monday morning, now its looking more like the end of next week. What a bummer...ive already ripped most of the suspension out already, awaiting parts so i could just slap em in and go....And ive still got tires to mount(if i get those in time too...), fenders to trim and other things to tweak and id rather not rush getting it all in place only to find out something isnt working right...especially if were gonna be that far from home. Ohwells...maybe its for the best...:rattle:

Hey Bob, you guys gonna be open tomarrow(Friday)...or maybe Sat? Havent heard from ya yet and we need to discuss them tires! ;)

in colorado since i won't be in WY anytime soon...

let me know please; i'd appreciate it.

Dude that really sucks man. Kristy and I were looking forward to you guys coming along. we'll get you up and running though once the lift gets here. :D I'll bring you back a snowball.

Well im not down and out yet...i got a call from the place i bought the lift from EARLY this morning with them expressing their deepest appologies (after a couple disgrunted phone calls ive made) and they promised it will be here no later than tuesday afternoon...guess things do go your way if you kick and scream enough!

If i can ever get ahold of bob:laugh3::laugh3:and see if he can score me a deal on some tires and get them mounted, it MIGHT give me enough time to do a little bit of the finish work and get it running before saturday. Got my new rims today from Summit and my ballancing beads should be here monday so im chompin at the bit for some rubber to mount!

Its all falling into place....SLOWLY!

Then there's delivery fees. ;)

Terry, Cam will have them today along with his shinny (well not so much shinny) new bumper. Get a hold of him. I'll be happy to get rid of those d@mn things, as I keep misplacing them. Monkey's off my back now. :)

Jeef did you see the email/PM?

If things go any worse this week, I'll be bumming a ride with someone. Jeep (either one) is in no shape to wheel.

Bob

Jeff: let me know if you get the lift. I'll come by and help put it on in the evenings so we can get you running. Check your PM's too. I have a thought for ya about the tires.
