so who was the other rig we passed?

Not sure. There was 4 of us leaving on Sat evening. 3 XJ's (platinum, white, red) and 1 CJ8.

Sure it was us? It was about 8:30 or 9:00 PM.

Probably closer to 10ish, saw GI Joe and some whitish lookin' XJ IIRC it had a winch we were coming up the access road in two silver/gray XJ's.

I think you probably saw Scott and I. Scott was right in front of me in his white rig - with all the dust, I'll bet you mistook my Red rig for John's.

the read rig I saw had one of them oly racks pretty sure it was a 87-95 rig

Then it was John (red 89 ish 4dr, with winch and Oly rack) and Matt (white 94 2 dr. with winch and rack).

Just not sure what they were doing at that time of night out on their own? :)
Oh, my mistake, I am sure that Matt's dad was shaperoning:)

I am sure one of them will let us know what they were up to.

Cherokeekid, you stayed out there Sat night? You did not see them at camp in the morning or that evening? Or did you see them Sunday morning at 10:00am. They would have probably been on their way out Sunday morning (matt and his jeep limping home).

We rolled in Sunday am for a few hours, still working on a couple "bugs" so to speak.

We thought that since no one showed by ten, that we would roll. I myself did not want to have any more "fun" and Matt was hurt so we called it a day. We did see you guys and hoped that you weren't coming up for us....but then again we thought that you were "too extreme" for us. (I know PNWJeep was scheduled to come up and thought you were with their group)
Sorry that I missed you guys.

LOL, naahh just a couple of us headed up.

I guess you would need to define "hardcore" Tim and I are hardcore when it comes to breaking alotta junk :wierd:

Nah, but it did scare the BEJEESUS out of me. I'm revamping my tiedown SOP as we speak.

I had a 2 gal gas can, toolbox, and Cooler right behind me.... When I flopped, it all came sideways and landed next to my head (50 lbs of tools sound scary in this situation)
I heard liquid pouring out/down and thought it looked like the gas can was leaking.
I yelled/freaked/whatever until I realized that I could get up and stand sideways in the Jeep and move stuff. (which is when I found out that it was my cooler leaking)

Good Times.

Anybody who leaves his Ready Welder strapped to the TOP of all his gear so it's ready to go at a moments notice is hardcore....

Anybody who breaks bad enough 20 yds into the first trail of day and requires a ready welder to continue..........is probably a redhead. ;)
