Lets Talk Evans Creek

I'm game if I get my timing chain cover leak stopped by then. I want to go so I can at least meet some of you guys if nuthin else. Haven't been up there since I put the mods on my rig anyways.

And Matt, I'll take Guiness. Just Kiddin.

So who all is up for the 13th?....

Or do we need a poll...

Also, I have never been there, so I'm lost as to trails, etc...can someone give a little more local info?

Does anyone plan to bring family?
Do we need a group campsite?

Yeah, it's not one of the 'campsite' places like we were at for Naches... Just kinda has places to camp. I know for a FACT you need the NW Forest Pass out there as well. ;) As for trails, it's kind of a big loop that you can't really get lost on. :D A few 'ok' trails out there, but certainly doable in one day.

The last time I was there, the passes were $5 for 24 hrs. I am assuming that it's still the same.

Due to work, camping and two day trips are out, for now.

Michael. I have been fighting this Steering stabalizer stud. I was cutting off the end this past weekend. Realized this thing is so rusted in, it isn't going anywhere. Mounted the stabalizer back in. Jeep has been sitting over a month. Ride is bumpier than can be, above 55 mph.

My current priorities are rock sliders and skids (Rear, Tranfer case, and Rear Diff cover). Secondary projects include Radio and OBA.

This is being fitted in around my work being done around the house for the wife's in-home daycare and work.

Some day it will get done.

Jason

What have you done to your ride ?
lift, tires, rims
Do we need a :repair: tech thread to see if someone can help?

As Phil said, the trails are pretty simple to navigate, and there are maps that are provided. I'll make sure that we have enough for the group prior to us all getting there.

We can buy forest passes at a little gas station just before you reach the trails. Truth be told, though, I've never bothered to buy one...it's up to you all to make that decision.

All by my lonesome, I can run most of the trails in about three hours, but I tend to move pretty quickly. There are a bunch of places where the view of Mt. Rainier is just amazing and there are a lot of cool places to watch other rigs negoiate terrain and hill-climbs. Taking our time and smelling the roses, it could be made into a nice day's wheelin'.

It's pretty easy to get there even if you've never been before. I'll make sure to post some directions long before the day in question. Also, John, we're coming from basically the same area, so we could meet up and convoy in if you want.

I know GI-John's going, Sniggs was talking about it, and of course me.... Who else is planning/deftinately going?

At this point I have 3" lift, 32" M'Ts and the front diff protection.

Moi. Reckon I'll head down Saturday after work and rally up with youse guys. Work buddy of mine lives in Buckley and would like to ride along, so I'll pick him up first thing Sunday morning and come back. Will have Kokanee on hand for personal consumption. :D

Matt, I definatly plan on going. I can meet you guys in tacoma for the convoy if you want.

Bonney lake is on 410, right? I think Dale (93cobra)lives there.

Gimme a time and a place.

Can you get me there from the North? Same way I went to Naches (18 thru Auburn to 410 in Enumclaw then east?) ??.

Michael, if you (and anyone else from the north) want to convoy, we can probably meet up near Southcenter(?).

It's going to probably be a day trip for me with no passenger unless my stepson (Andy) decides he wants to ride along.
