Iron rock offroad long arm upgrade

no matter how much you wink at me I am not following you home.

Ok... So kastein posted something about a 240ft lb and 3000 rpm neutral drop to snap that upper mount... I have a renix with 255,000 miles on it, I would be happy to see 200 ft lbs ;) also if I can't crawl it or can't bump it over the rock, ill take a strap, I'm not out to try and break stuff, so being a sensible driver I think the IRO kit will work perfect for me, 6 pages of posts has really helped me decide to get their upgrade kit for my 4" lift ;) thanks everyone!!

I used smilies for you SCOTT, I didnt want to offend anyone :gee:

I appreciate the effort, but that is terrible logic.
Haha:looser:

I read this whole thread on the toilet, now my ass is numb. Damn you guys.

why cant these dumb threads just die?

IRO LA threads, are one of the most annoying things on the internet.

I hear if you flex so much your coils fall out you don't need lockers.

no matter how much you wink at me I am not following you home.

Iirc i saw you mention something about Clayton in the last 6 pages or so, so I googled them and considering their long arm upgrade kit is only $349 more than the IRO kit... I've been considering them over IRO, I don't plan on keeping a d30 forever and I don't like wasting money.

I wasn't winking at you... I... Had something in my eye.

I've been running the IRO long arms for about 2.5 years. The flex joints refuse to take grease and subsequently rattle a great deal, but other than that, no issues, and zero broken OMG-it's-only 10mm bolts. Not greatly impressed with the customer support, and I can't think of any reason to choose it over TNT, Clayton, Rough Country, ETC. The only reason I bought from them is because I'm a Minnesotan who likes to support Minnesota bussinesses and I was on leave in Minnesota so I could pick the parts up from the shop and avoid shipping charges.

So I had no idea that this kit existed until I stumbled across this thread... awesome! I looked it up and I think that is sketch. I guess I just need to take the short arm off the passenger side of my tnt LA kit. That would make it wayyy better.

Oh, and did I mention this thread is hilarious!!!!! And next time I'm totally bored I'll go read the other IRO LA threads! Thanks Guys!

Here ya go

He also made a taco out of the track bar. If you pound it hard enough, something's going to break.

So the biggest complaint on here is the reliability of the bolt and the caster adjuster?

Couldn't a guy throw a couple extra bolts in his gear bag, set the caster and weld up that plate to keep it from spreading and have a good set up?

I have (painfully) read this whole thread and haven't seen anyone mention arms bending or welds breaking, which to me is a much bigger issue.

Sure, the BDS and Clayton kits are better, but I just can't bring myself to spend more on a lift kit than I did for the whole Jeep.

here is the problem.

when that bolt fails, you are going to loose your driveshaft and shocks
