Search google for Iron rock Offroad. It's so much easier to bash a product than to defend it. This thread is full of the same 20odd guys that always chime in. Meanwhile. The thousands that have it simply don't care to argue with the Populous
I get it. It's an odd design. And yes there are other options. But in the $600 range. This one is not much more then a short arm kit. And it's been proven by thousands.
The same 20 guys who respond to these threads:
1) Are tired of seeing a "Is the IRO 3 link kit any good?" thread every other day.
2) Run tried and true beefy setups and abuse them on the trail without problems.
3) Are very mechanically inclined and/or engineers who can clearly see the faults of the IRO kit and choose not to run it.
4) Are tired of people that have the IRO kit posting pics of their flex and stating that an IRO kit has never ever broken ever in the history of time.
5) Know that a simple adjustable, wristed upper arm would be much stronger and more durable than the "Iron Y" for adjusting the caster angle. (but I guess then IRO wouldn't have a super special one-off design)
And I'm willing to bet a good amount that IRO has not sold "thousands" of kits. One thousand is most likely a stretch.
