Introduce yourself

Yea I really like the pop top Ramchargers and Traildusters, the green one was my fifth. I have been wanting to do a cherokee for a while now. Picked up an 01 with 80000 miles on for less than a grand, so I figure no is the time to build one.
 
funny, i met you on q-trail too... not sure if we actually spoke. was cruisn down the "highway" n saw: a red xj, burgandy/maroon xj n a green mj on Q, so i hopped in the back of the line. you showed up jus before i snapped rear d44 shaft up at the top. rookie mistake, was caught up in all excitement of wheeln wit other jeeps, that i hopped a little too much. luckily, only the shaft broke, detroit was fine. i only had rear locker at the time............small world, cool.

LOL.... I remember that. You were on that little muddy/rocky spot at the top. Yeah, you jumped on it pretty good, and almost had it when that shaft broke. I was surprised to see it was a rear XJ 44 shaft, at that point I had not seen many of them break (still haven't seen that many...).

OK... your REALLY making me miss PAP now...

You coming out to NAC-Fest? It is always a great time...
 
that d44 had 190,000miles on it when i pulld it from "zyprasney's" (no clue how to spell that). i had changed out everything on that axle except the shafts at that point. now she has superiors, along wit a whole bunch of stuff. full cage/slider system built by AtoZ, 241roktrac, beadlox to name a few.......unfortunately, she is only a trailrig now after a light flop on the rausch compcourse.the driver side roof got pushed over just enough to spring the windshield out. sometimes i think about ducttaping a windshield in, but i don't think johnnylaw is gona be ok wit that........
 
James from eugene or, have a stock 87 4cyl, 2wd commanche as a daily driver, love it. also have a 91 2wd xj i bought on craigslist for $5, drug it home, got it running, converted it to 4wd w/ jy parts, welded the rear end, and cut the fenders and tub till it cleared 32" tsl's, and absolutely love it. I've worked at the stealership as a jeep tech, love working on em, and love owning them. Been lurking for quite some time, but glad to finally be a NAXJA member.
 
Rob, got a '99 XJ SE, AW4, D30/CC8.25, 3" Skyjacker w/ bastard packed 3.5" rear, 33x12.50 Mud Kings (for four more days till my Cooper STTs come in), doorless, light bar w/Hellas and other random stuff. been on here for a while checking for information but figured it's time to actually post something
 
I don't post much on here, but really appreciate reading all the good advice/information from others.

I bought my 96 XJ six years ago after a tree fell on my pickup. I love this jeep! It currently has 188,000 miles on it and runs like the day I bought it. (had 131,000 on it then)

I haven't done much to it since buying it. I had to fix some DW issues and figured I might as well do a 2" spacer/aal while I was at it. Other than that, it's basically stock. I don't wheel it much. Some fire roads and trails.

Anyway, just saying "hi."

Also, if anyone knows of a good pull-your-own type JY in the Harrisburg/York, PA area, let me know.
