In search of good racks

FarmerMatt said:
I was wondering if you hurt it in the flop. What bent, Bent?...

Matt
:shaking head looking at ground: The flop is what did it. I(Bent) bent the mounting "L" at the very front a little. Not too bad considering I landed on it. There was no body damage other than the front fender thanks to the rub rails. What do ya know? Works on trees, rocks and the ground. :D

I was thinking about this manufacturer who donated couple to the Big Bear event raffle. Those were some COOOL racks ;)

I am sure if they were ready something would have been said.

Don't beat it out of him. hasta

These are Garvin Ind. Wilderness racks, I like them but they are a little on the big side. They are easy(with another person) to take off/on and hold my 32" spare no problem.

You gonna make one that uses gutter mounts?

you wasted your thousandth post on the gutter? :D

Btw, why gutter mount? gutter mounts SUCK. The other mounts are so much better, especially if you use a nutstrip from the underside.

Please don't!

The gutters ALWAYS rip off!

The rivserts are 10 times stronger!

I don't think so. I'll have to ask the guy thats making them.

All I can say is that Remi was involved.

Need I say more? :dunno:

Well that explains it...not!

Really I'm serious. I can understand if your trying to use the rack as a winch point, but what about just hauling gear and a spare tire?

That's why I'm curious to know how you ripped yours off.
