Important

I dig it..........and that he is doing it in a small garage with bicycles hanging on he wall....

ugh...so letting the comanche sit all winter was a bad idea. had a guy show up to buy it today and it decided to idle high and then ran with a miss during the test drive. most likely the manifold bolts were loose again and i had never done a tune up on it. guy was a little understanding, but i let it go for less than i wanted. i really liked that truck, but with the amount of work it needed i really didn't have time right now for that much of a project. he is going to do a restore on it, and if its like his last restoration it will be beautiful when its done.

Tomorrow night we're having an open house for our department at school. Last year 800 people showed up and this year we've added so much that I think it'll be easy to double that number... I'll be running all over with my students in the auto shop, small engine lab, High Mileage vehicle lab, metals shop and the engineering lab.

Installed a PowerHungryPerformance 7.3L Hydra chip tonight. For 312k miles on it, the 7.3 woke right up and has me grinning ear to ear, hopefully I won't get any tickets with it, but in all honesty Im really only using it for around town economy and over the road towing...

What tunes did you get? I'm interested to see how you like the hydra. I want one to replace my 6 position.

Need to figure out a master cylinder for the xj buggy. Axles will have 3/4t GM calipers on all four corners to stop 40 LTBs. It currently has 96 ZJ master/booster and rear disks. Would be cool if they'd work but not sure.

What ya all think?

I had a 98 w stock booster, locked up 42s with tons and disks all the way around, used a lot of peddle though

My 95 Popcan had a stock booster and master cylinder.

Would lock up 39 red labels.

Always good pedal.

What calipers? I know if I had kept the big Ford calipers it would have lots of peddle but would stop. Fighting this issue in a big buggy I built few years back running 47s.

But with the smaller GM calipers I'd think it wouldn't be too bad, sure they are twice the size of the ZJs. But still. Makes my brain hurt so may just try what's on it for now.
