Important

Nice, I'm going to wait for a new programmer for next year when I put in injectors. Probably going with Swamps 238/30's. They're a good injector for a stock fuel system.

With stock sticks? I've heard of very few E40D's and 4r100's that give up the ghost on just tunes. Bigger turbo and sticks, then sure they can't handle it.

k "these aren't cummins autos" man

Hopefully getting injectors sometime this year/tax season, but we'll see...

As far as I can tell mine have 300k on them, except cyl #2, that one I currently have a remain in until I send my originals out for rebuild... Either sending them to my dad's diesel guy in La Crosse or to Rosewood.

Mines a gasser. It's just old and needs freshened up. I call it Ol' tRusty. It's scares me sometimes but gets me where I need to go and tows like a champ

I plug mine in when ever it is below 20.
It is so much better for them than a cold start.
Plus the quicker heat is nice.
I run the cord up and over the mirror so I do not forget to unplug it.

Here's some of last nights work. i was just happy to finally get to welding something. due to weather and holidays, feels like we have done nothing yet.

my 1st time(well more like my 10) moving a puddle

then last night
my 1st butt joint

then my 1st lap joint before fore the bell rang for clean up.

pretty fun. need to do a lot more.

Glad to hear. A lot of people put those in their tricks and a week later they are sitting along the road in a puddle of trans fluid and a sad face.

This is why I never tuned my 7.3.

I have seen a lot of sad guys standing in puddles of tranny fluid. Usually 100,000 mile trucks that needed a trans rebuild any way.

I was one of those guys sitting along the road waiting for the trans to cool down from 280*+, buried the gauge on a hill climb. 200k on the stock trans combined with PO abuse and neglect made for a not happy 4R100.

you should get an auto eject plug.
They are super nifty. You wire it to the starter circuit so when you hit the key it ejects the plug with a plunger on a solenoid.

Cryptowall 3.0 is out and in the wild. Backup your stuff and disconnect the drive.

he didn't mention these are all with a torch and filler rod. those always look like shit.

OXY. i'll let him do the talking but he is in a class. they start you out with the basic stuff first.

i played with a tig the other day. it was bad ass but i like the point and shoot of a mig. i would like to weld more crap...

OXY welding. stick and torch.

this is "basic welding" and they start you off with torches. there are classes afterward that dive into mig and tig and so on but for now its torch welding and cutting and plasma cutting.

that i can tell the class is set up for pipeline stuff. as a matter of fact, the teacher was just mentioning last night that a pipe fitter manager he knows was just telling him that they are in desperate need for young people. they have guys retiring every week and will soon be screwed.

LOTS of money in that field. Got a buddy that welds on pipeline.
