Cross country flights are almost always an hour or 1.5 hours faster coming home than going out.

Right...just surprised me that it was that much faster. Same plane...same am out of passengers. We hit 689 on the way back. That seems screaming for a 737

The flight tracker is calculating ground speed. At 35k feet, the winds are probably +- 100 knots, so you've got a 100 knot headwind on the way out and a 100 knot tailwind on the way back.

It looks like a drastic difference because it's a 200 knot swing, but the altitude of the plane and the winds have a lot to do with that big ground speed number.

what if cat really spelled dog?

This all just blew my mind this early on a Monday......

I surrendered the last of mine to OKB when I went to bed. There wasn't too many left standing at that point. But I cheated and took a nap after dinner

I was sick last year.

I hope to make up for it this year.

Nap is probably a good idea, tho not the four hour nap Dylan took.
