Important

Decided when we look for land next year, there's got to be enough to. Have a small harvest in the fall... Nothing huge, but enough to keep my farming heritage busy during the summer months...

Craving some apple pie tonight.

Indy 500 was awesome, plus not having to fight traffic in and not having to drive in the traffic out was even better (motorcoach I was on had police escort in, driver fought traffic out). Spent a total of $30 today on everything (two bottles of water, breakfast at McDonalds, burger and fries at the track and dinner at Denny's). Plus I got to stand next to the would be winners car during driver introductions.

I drank a bunch of micro brew from Titletown Brewery last night. I got a bit snockered. Had a nice fire too. Barbequed some ribs. Boiled up some sweet corn. It was a good night.

Sounds like a typical WI weekend ;)

Well, I'm done with trees for now. GF was pretty cool about me dropping the branch on the house and ruining the new gutters. To add to yesterday, we had everything to grill... And found tank was empty.

I just ate a pair of pants with the saw. I have a old craftsman. New saws have a place to put your foot though the handle when you start it....
I recommend that if you don't use that feature that you start to.

Had a great weekend in KY with family and friends....back to the grind tomorrow.....yay!

Anyone have experience with prepaid spending cards???

We are looking for a plan to use with our older kids. Two teenagers in the house and I'm getting real tired of being the First National Bank of Dad.

That's not a bad way to go. I've never used one but it would be an easy way to transfer funds if they were to be broke down somewhere. Hummm.......

Looking forward to some fresh tomatoes this summer.

I started my grind yesterday, getting paid double time today.

What are these things that people call "holliday weekends"?

No clue

I've worked 6 - 8 hour shifts since Friday morning...working two more (another double) starting at 10p tonight til 4pm tomorrow.

Then have training on my days off...

Yeah, a buddy of mine who moved here from Mississippi hung out with me. He had a good time too. Though I'm pretty sure I was more plastered than he was.
Had a good weekend. Saw lots of stuff. Sat around a campfire for more hours than I usually work in a week. Drove across a bridge....

Glad you guys had fun!

That bridge vid had me a little uneasy. I'm already not a fan of bridges. Mostly the ones with a greater amount of structure overhead. I dunno what it is, but they make my spine tingle. I avoid the Dan Ryan Expy for that reason specifically. Not to mention the outrageous tolls.

That was cool. The cat on your fb looked like it had sheep's wool.

Side note, my new Detroit name is "Big Dog". That's what the brothers are calling me.
