Important

i dunno, I'll do some searching tomorrow.

Make sure it's a 93-95.0 (iirc) V8 ZJ front shaft. A 95.5 and later is actually a few inches shorter than an XJ auto 4.0 front shaft, it's like .6 inches longer or shorter than an XJ manual 4.0 front shaft, and in fact I'm running one as a front shaft. Speaking of which, I really need to jack my jeep up tomorrow and make sure it's not bottoming out, I don't want to blow my 231 up... again...

Having your shaft retubed isn't real expensive, <$100.

I had mine retubed with 1/4" DOM, and because DOM doesn't come with the correct ID he had to turn it down. My total cost was $150.

Another reason you're my favorite nerd! Thanks buddy!

I'll take my beer anytime. :D

Make the JY double check it's a ujoint shaft and not a stupid CV style like I have.

I can check with the local Jeep yard if you can't find anything. Edit: they have 4. $75 each.

don't mind the splines sticking out, i know i need to get it retubed. does it look like i need to add shims?

The shaft is on the floor. I'll get it figured out.

Yea it looks like we are gonna get hit with some bad storms. We already have a tornado watch till 5pm

Heading to a gold mine in Nevada. It's a 1300 mile round trip. They had my truck in the shop till 2pm. Not a happy guy right now.

Which mine? At work we send a lot of crushing equipment and screens out to a few of them. From the pictures I have seen they are some giant holes in the ground you have to see to believe..
