Important

We are in the hospital. But I hear my neighbors yard, much lower than mine is flooded. A buddy put a video up on fb of a bridge we used to jump off. Normally its about 12-15the ft above the water. The water is only about a foot under the bridge, you can see the cement pillars move.

We got a little bit of sleet yesterday...

Also took the kid to the ER last night. He had a high fever. They got it down and sent us home with instructions to keep him hydrated. He woke up with 98.8 and his back up to 102.2 now. Gave him some Advil. Trying to get him to rest as much as possible.

October, 2010. The river rose until it almost touched the bottom of the concrete span bridge (IMG_3674,) and did close for a day or so. The older bridge (single lane, 8k lbs only,) where I took the last few pictures from stayed open, and was the only way across the river in town itself. Sort of funny that the new bridge closed. Upstream, Highway 52 remained open and that's very close to town. Downstream, it's several miles at least to another bridge. This was only about a 10 year storm, supposedly.

We have three rivers that meet in downtown Fort Wayne. So to say we are used to flooding is an understatement. They have done good things over the years to help with the flooding...several area downtown are now parks. A few other places are golf courses and other areas that are easy to fix or don't do much damage when there is a lot of water.

Take that dealership in the above pic, there was a dealership like that a few years ago (maybe 08), they tore it down and made it a grassy field owned by the city now.

So far, even with 3 inches expected in the next couple of days, they don't seem to concerned around here...at least not yet.

mac 'don't think I need to start building an ark...yet' gyvr

That dealer closed up shop in Illinois and they relocated when they knew the flood was happening. Now I believe it is going to be in Vincennes from now on. It was their third time flooding in six years or something like that. That dealer flooded though because a levy broke.

don't mind the splines sticking out, i know i need to get it retubed. does it look like i need to add shims?

removed the rear shaft today and the noise i had was gone.

Um I think you need to put a nut on that shock mount before it comes off. :)

Yep. We were lucky the levee broke on the IL side, it would have wiped out half of Vincennes if not the whole town.

Congrats, Kelsey!!
