Important

damn, in a couple months when everyone puts their boat in the water, that's gonna sell well.

freezing rain on sunday, rain all day yesterday and today, snow tomorrow and snow on friday.

i hope this forecast holds out...so do the farmers. c'mon mother nature

Still drizzling here this morning, never got below freezing overnight. The ground is still cold, so there's frequently ice with water over it. Side roads are rather unpleasant, main roads that have been treated seem to be okay.

Morning commute was a problem. Almost punted a Buick off into the median. Jackass moved from the right lane into the left lane on the boulevard, ignoring much faster traffic and had absolutely no reason to move. No, you do *NOT* have the right to the hammer lane.

Another foot of snow over night. After a foot the day before yesterday.

If my calculations are right we have had close to six feet of snowfall this year. Normal is about three....for the whole winter.

Last year we had less than a foot.

Wow. That'd do a number here. Normal, IIRC, is something like 40-60 inches. 2 years ago, was over 80. Last year, I only fired up the blower twice, most of the time, I just shoveled the drive, it was faster.

60* and light rain here. This is my kind of January weather... It's going to suck when it drops back into single digits in a few days. Think we're supposed to get about 2" of rain today/tonight. We need it, and I'm glad it's not ice.

Same down here! You should make it out to WF(You know since its such a long drive for you! :D) and ride with one of us on the trail, I know you don't wheel your XJ.

2 years ago was a hell of a winter. Last year was basically just cold, it only got around to snowing the night I was trying to fix my jeep and load up the dolly to leave for WinterFest. I got the van stuck on a completely level section of my driveway, had to unload the MJ again, unstuck the van with the MJ, blew a ujoint, then had to swap the axleshaft the next morning, drive both down to the road and load back up again. If it hadn't been for that I would have showed up about 8-12 hours earlier.

Made me wish I did my roof on the house last winter, not the winter before. Nothing like a foot of snow once a week for several months to put a crimp in a roofing project when you only have nights and weekends available.

I'm rather annoyed right now.

My daughter Colleen's car broke a strut last week. I was on the phone with her trying to get a plan together when she told me her bf's step dad showed up and was going to have the car towed to a friends shop to get fixed. I told her to be careful because the cost can really creep up having a shop do the work. She was told by her bf's step dad not to worry, they will take care of it. Today she's hit with an $800 bill for both struts, fixing the hood latch, cleaning her aluminium wheels because they were leaking and "something" else that needed fixed.

She's a college student just starting her internship that pays a big fat NOTHING!

What annoys me the most is the step dad was authorizing all these repairs, not to mention I told her not to do it, and that I would come down and trailer her car back to my house and fix it myself.

Step-father is liable to all charges. She provides proof of ownership and that she did not okay all the work and she will not have to pay it. She can take them to court over it.

One less former Il. Governor in prison soon. George Ryan must be getting out by the Chicago media being at the Federal Pen here in Terre haute.

It was 60 today, cloudy, but not raining this morning.

Got all my stuff washed including the trailer and truck. Took 3 hours with the power washer to get everything washed, but it was good to be doing it outside in temps above freezing.

Getting closer to leaving for Cali and have a list a mile long...

mac 'still gotta work my part time' gyvr

That's all well and good in theory..... in reality, it's just gonna lead to some mighty pissed off people.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find fault with one or the other.

The difference between 30 and 40 in/lbs (besides the obvious 10 in/lbs) is pretty negligible. I don't even have a torque wrench at work that goes under 40.
