16ga is a bit heavier than stock bodywork sheetmetal... I'd say 18 or 20 is stock for body panels, 16 or so for floors. It's too thin I know that much.
I like to make sure the old metal is lapped over the new metal so I am welding through the paper thin metal into a known good piece of 16ga. Makes it so I only blow through every few inches instead of every quarter inch :farmer:
Well I think this will technically be 'floor' on the back of the tub. I ordered more than needed so I can use it on the floor pans when I get that far. Hoping I won't have any blow-through problems using the 110v 135...
Might also be adding wrap-a-rounds on the rear bumper while I'm at it...
