If I was to wheel with a large group ever, this is the only group I would go out with. I been in a friends JK with others from another group and they didn't even check to make sure the person behind them was behind them or to make sure they knew where to go after going down a hill. We got separated a few times and by luck found the group later. Luckily my friend knows BL pretty descent, but with a new person that is dangerous. Never a problem with this group.
 
Fly out. WF is fun even without a jeep and flights aren't bad at all in march.

That being said, I would suggest a hotel room or renting something you can sleep in. No way would I want to tent in that weather. Sleeping on the bench seats of my van was pretty nice though, got it warmed up to about 80 inside, shut it off, crawled in my sleeping bag and was asleep well before it cooled down.

I just wish I had brought more cutoff wheels, or not let them blow away (seriously?) Or just built my damn bumper before I left.
 
Swapped the 242 into the 5.9 tonight. It was a direct swap. I had purchased a tcase bezel for a 242 grand already so it looks factory. Tomorrow...later today ill swap a couple wires in the dash behind the computer thingy and it too will show 2wd drive. Too late and too many adult beverages to take it for a spin tonight, I will later.

This would be my only option but I doubt it will happen this March. With my daughter having four surgeries this year and then having to deal with the death of my mother in law we are seriously strapped for cash this year. My wife took three weeks of unpaid FMLA leave to help take care of her mom why she was dying. It pretty much put the end to any trips we have planned except this Moab trip. The only reason we are going on that one is because my wife feels like she needs it after all the crap that has come down the last few months.

I understand...but if you do find a way out I'll have a seat you can use. If you don't make it, I'll make it a point to drink a few brews with you in Moab. :cheers:


Side note, Monte was an easy fix. The tab where the pliers are pointing to needed a tunk with a bfh, and Ta da! It's fixed.

Tired of my junk having no balls (so to speak), I want to play the axle game too. 4.88s are in my future, it's just gonna be a push to get everything done before Aaron... well, not that much of a push :laugh3:
 
i just bought a dana 30 for $20...now gear shopping. i have the brakets and shock tabs for the 8.8...i have no excuses any more other than being a lazy pos
