Important

the 2010 mustangs are 10 times better than before, it makes me like mustangs again

i would still rather have a chalenger though but the ford is a close second

Rather have a Camaro RS since the 6 still makes 300 hp and gets fairly decent mileage. I love to new Challenger too. The main thing I like about the new mustang is the fuel filler setup its pretty trick.

Back to the topic of Fords, I just saw an old Shelby Mustang on the road an hour ago. I've never liked Mustangs too much, even classic ones, but that is definitely an exception. Really good looking car.

Yea they make 304HP, 0-60 in 6.0. I've owned a couple of LS1 Trans Ams and they were "only" 305HP, kinda sad. High-end HP is no replacement for displacement, though... kinda nice to bump the throttle a little and pass people on the highway without leaving overdrive...

i'M ALL "SHINED" UP, ILLEAGAL FLIPOFF SMILEY.

P.S. IF YALL WANNA GO FAST QUIT SCREWING AROUND WITH CARS AND GET A BIKE.

YOU DON"T HAVE TO YELL BRIAN! :D

. My now beat up ole Dodge has never even had a tuneup in 12 years and 154,000 miles. I wasn't even hard on the thing, but the Dodge from day one has been used and abused. It had three rearends but never once stranded me anywhere. The limited slip rears were an issue but they stuck a posi in it the last time and no problems in 9 years.

I also remember the $1 part they didn't put on the early Escorts that could have prevented fires in rearend crashes, but it wasn't cost effective....so they thought. After the lawsuits started flowing in they decided to add the $1 part and the fires diminished a lot. !

Hmm...

04 Ranger...287K miles, ate a tranny at 200K.

Same rearend...same engine...same everything else.

Not been babied at all.

Hard to argue with those results.

Oh...and it was the Pinto, not the Escort.

Here's the math that Ford did to justify not spending the extra $11/car to modify the fuel tank:

http://www.calbaptist.edu/dskubik/pinto.htm

"Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one."

isn't that what the dude from fight club did?

im a chevy man at heart. but ive had a lot of fords and had good luck with em.
92 ford tempo 250,000 miles ran when i sold it.
91 ford ranger 4x4 120,000 miles rolled it. ran when i sold it lol :roflmao:
94 ford ranger 198,000 hard miles runs amazing. still driveing it
dads had
95 ford areostar that mom put 300,000 on. its time for it to die
92 ford areostar that the trans ate itself. cant remember the miles.
96 ford explorer. original engine and trans 257,000 miles. runs good

its all how you maintain em. you would be amazed at how much longer vehicles will last when you keep the oil changed and tune em up
