Important

Talked w/ my brother last night and he mentioned that he had 3 grand and was thinking about getting a quad or something like that for an extra hobby. I told him that he could easily score a XJ for less then that and still have some money to work on it with. That is all it took, I found him a 98 Sport that was a police impound unit w/ 144K on it and straight as an arrow for $2K. I am going tomorrow to pick it up for him and haul it down to him in the next few weeks.......he is stoked about it since he is going to build it as more along the lines of an expedition rig that he can trail run and DD when he wants (current DD is an Avelanche ). I will post up pics and may be able to get him to join up. He has OCD about as bad as I do, so if he builds it it will be clean.

Like I said....Pinto.

Moving on....

Ranger rolled 289K today.....300 is getting very close.

June 12th is this week....are you ready?

I sure hope I am....

20 cities....5 channels per city (average), 100 channels that I "think" should be ready to go.

Gonna be a LONG weekend if the stuff hits the fan.

Ooofff. That's right, you'll be in the middle of the HDTV switch, won't you?

I'd say I'd stake you to a cup of coffee, but I'm gonna be in Naperville, busy, this weekend.

Back to da house..... it's getting broken in, there's a Kolsch fermenting at 65 degrees in the bathtub right now. I won't have an opportunity to work on the kegging stuff for a week, but I need to get it SOON. The universe has conspired against me, John. I don't have time to hit NB before I leave this trip.

No problem, hopefully you have time to stop by for a beer or three. Still have a little vanilla porter, and I hope to keg my red ale tomorrow so that should be good in a couple days.

Tasty stuff, makes me really wanted to get started brewing now. What was the name of that place you told me about Jeff? In other news my wheel cylinder really started leaking bad yesterday, in the process of changing it the brake line was seized to the flare nut and I couldn't get it loose. So the line twisted off, but the good thing is that wheel cylinder was the last thing (for now) bothering me about the heep.

I've bought pretty much exclusively from NB (too convenient on my commute home,) but Midwest has a very good reputation as well.

Re: brake line. Oh, just lovely. Gotta love splicing old lines. Of course, assuming rear axle, you can just go to the junction block with new lines.

I wish I could, John. Not looking good for this trip at all.

Helping a non-XJ buddy out by moving a 3-in-1 shop tool on Friday morning. There's a slim chance I might pick up a shop tool or 2 as well.

Yeah by wheel cylinder I mean rear, so I just need to find a line for the passenger side from the junction block out.

Got a couple quick pics of the wife's new jeep.

We both agreed already that this jeep will stay stock. No money to lift or for tires. that money goes to two other jeeps right now.:D I have four jeeps, a van, and a trailer in the driveway now.

Sort of.

Digital does not mean HD, most broadcasters are just converting, not adding HD.

As it is the delay has cost many of them several thousand dollars that was not budgeted....HD ain't in the pocketbook.

The lucky ones will be able to unload thier analog transmitters to another country.....but many will just throw them away.

"Hi this is your goverment.....we need you to continue to run your analog transmitter until June 12th, sorry but we do not have any funds to reimburse your for the 4 grand per month that it will cost you in power....sorry."
