When i lived in colorado you had to go to a liqour store to get full strength beer . and i think they stopped selling way early and not on sunday i think.. ( been a long time)
The gas stations carried 3.2 I think it was beer that is a bit weaker .

In Saint Louis (mo side) they sell till like 1:30am except a few bars have a special license to sell until like 3 .

If i go to east saint louis (IL side ) 3am is the standard but i know a 24 hour gas station that sells all 24 (not sure if legal).
Pops a popular east saint louis club is 24 hours service.
I dont think you can even but the weaker beer here if you wanted to

Looking for a lawyer that has experience with personal insurance claim disagreements. I'm not getting anywhere with S.F. and I want my money back.

Why is S.F. denying your claim? I thought your agent was going to set the desk folks straight.

If you don't get your claim through, I'll have to talk to my local agent. I couldn't afford to lose what I've got in the garage.

I used two tools (gave specific descriptors of when) for a demo at school, apparently they are business tools.

My retort was then my laptop, pens, cloths, shoes, everything I take to school are business items to which they replied 'no'.

If you do not have a policy that covers 'business items' with State Farm, you do not have coverage on your tools.

Interesting. By that light, my computer gear would probably not be covered, that's my line of work, but my garage tools would be covered, that's not my business.

I still might have to talk to my agent about this. I've carried SF for almost 30 years, in 3 states, and I've never had a claim issue with them.

I spent a day in east st louis, nice town.....

Well apparently I should have talked to my local guy the following Monday and not the National guy that called that Saturday.

So I decided yesterday I needed to get myself a present. And that an ar pistol lower was going to be it this year. I went to a tiny local shop and tomorrow I get to pick up my la rue pistol lower and a dozen mag puls. The price is about what I would have expected to pay a year ago. Small shops in small towns are nice.

On another note, anyone know of a gunsmith that wants a turn-key buisness? A buddy of mine builds badass rifles and due to family reasons is going to be selling. He has a bunch of f-class championships under his belt and the shop phone is constantly ringing, so much so he has had to turn away buisness. He has built all of my bolt guns, I would put thwm up against anyones guns..

Breathe, breathe..... breathe.

Corporate office buildings lost power for 20-30 minutes. Data center ran on UPS for 5 minutes or so, long enough for the genset to autostart and transfer the load. Everything worked today.... for a change. I'll be happier if we get through 30 minutes back on power.

How much are they asking for that 7k lb. trailer? Is it painted top and bottom? Wiring?

I talked to Absolute a couple of years ago, and they seemed pretty pricey. I ended buying a Load+Trail 10k from http://brinkmanstrailers.com/index.html, and I've been pretty happy with it. Only real issue was a trucking problem, a few days delayed getting to the dealer, then the paperwork went adrift, took me far longer than it should have to get plates & title (not all Brinkman's fault.)

No way in hell would I give up, you said you have 10-20k in tools that got stolen right? Why did you pay them for insurance if they weren't going to cover it?

And before I forget about it again, I picked up at their shop in Forest Lake.

This issue is I made the mistake to telling them I used 1 or 2 of the more 'specialty' tools at school for a demonstration. They see that and stamp 'BUSINESS ITEMs' on the claim. I've spent 2-3 weeks on it, phone calls everyday and have not gotten national claims department to budge.

They're currently offering $1500 (which I told them was a slap in the face) under my renters policy.

how much would your collection be worth minus the specialty tools? I'd try and settle for that, maybe. And as soon as they pay, drop them as your insurance company, tell them why, and go somewhere else.

Generic Craftsman hand-tools plus 'hand tools' from MAC an Match ~ $3,000.

National Rep and his manager are firm that $1500 is all they will give me, cause thats whats on the policy.
