This rig is a whore...

...I'm not sure were it ended up. It was sold at least three times after I took that picture.

...my advice, stay away!

Own shop, what's he doing now?

Bought a turnkey 4wd shop that also does general auto repair. The business that existed in that location prior to him buying it was there for 30+ years. Pretty sweet gig now. Lots of freedom from the corporate blech. :D

Oh, and awesome pics. It shows quite the evolution.

If some newer folks saw half these pics, they might actually listen when you guys gave tech advice. Or not. Looks like a lot of fun either way.

edit-what's the timeframe here? I recognize Goatman's (former?) rig, and I think I know what the black "whore" rig is, but nothing else.

These were the rigs that got me lurking here back in 04-05, great thread.

X2, except for me it was '06. I followed builds and tech threads by a lot of these guys and respect their knowledge and experience. As was mentioned earlier, newbies who discredit these guys' responses to their tech questions are ignorant and st00pid. :D

Great pictures!

Those are some awesome pictures. I recognize a couple people, and a couple of the Jeeps even though they have changed over the years.

Id be curious to know the time frames of those pictures as well. Looks to be 00-03?

WOW!

It's like a time capsule. I remeber a lot of those rigs. Did I catch the ass end of Rawbrown's rig in one of those?

Thanks for making me home sick for the west coast.

One of my favorite obstacles from that trip, The Good [,the Bad, and the Ugly] on Fist Full of Dollars. And was Hinkleberry STOKED after crawling that clean.

I remember reading the trip reports from the BOTW trips back in 04-05.

Cool pics.

Amazing pix... and even though I'm a relative newbie in comparison, I recognize quite a few faces & a few rigs (and some make me squint, remove body parts, add tube & other mods, and go "Hmmmm, maybe??).
