Oh $***, we are moving to this town http://www.towndock.net/harborcam.shtml
this week. Well last week we drove my XJ down there with the boat and parked it in the carport and came back to the upstate to finish moving. The carport is the low spot of my lot and prone to high water! Looks like I will have to install a bilge pump when I get back there. Oh well we're just hoping for the best. What can one do against mother nature? Good luck to all you coastal Carolinians. SURFS UP DUDE!

Where is that in NC? This one is tame, Hugo was fun! Hugo was my second Hurrican that i got to sit through!

stand in your yard and shake your fist at the sky, or piss into the wind.
one will only make you feel better the other will make you feel worse.

Truly escaped this time Alex only flooded the down town area and the water resided by 18:00 yesterday! :sunshine: The name of the town is Oriental, NC. We are about 500' from Kershaw Creek and Hugo blasted us last year, we lost about $5000 in tools and yard equiptment, but the neighbors(water front) lost an '03 Monte and had about $10,000 in damages, got the insulation under their house and a bunch of other damages. I feel so lucky today! The water so I'm told only got up to the hubs(or lack there of) on my XJ, however the '85 Wagoneer(SJ) that I scored after Hugo got another floor wash! Guess I will have to part it out now. Hope you OBX guy's can be happy today too!
