todays hunt

i love this time of year...a week left of duck season and ducks are stacked up on the iowa sodak. hopefully the weather will push the big migration of mallards here this weekend. looks pretty nasty

I just watched an old show the Duck Dynasty people were on. It looks like duck hunting is pretty fun.

My old man snuck out yote hunting while I was bow hunting and used a 6.5x.284 pistol to ruin this guys breakfast. Now that bow hunting season is over I dialed in my ar and we can start teaming up on them...

My weekend archery turkey hunt started today. It was 19 degrees then warmed up to rain. I saw about a million sandhill cranes. The spotted a critter out of the blind. My dad was kind enough to stay way back as I saw how close I can get to it. I ended up getting about 20 yards away before I started to rethink my decision..

nothing as cool as getting close to a just out of hibernation hungry bear
