HID's in a H4 Housing?

I the marketing manager for Delta. Bogden (the owner) is a fool and gets all his junk from China. The Delta housings are no different than the autopal's. Just about 4x more expensive.

Haha, thanks for that Jim. Good thing I bought 3 sets of Autopals instead of Deltas.

I drive a lowered car as a DD and i get blinded just as bad by the OEM HIDs as I do by the aftermarket kits. Even in my XJ the OEM HIDs blind me from 50 yards or so away when coming towards me, and it's lifted.

Instead of complaining about the kits, complain about the people installing them. Just slapping the bulbs in is the lazy approach. If you aim the headlights just as you would a stock headlight, based on the beam pattern, they dont blind people any more than a stock setup would. I tend to be blinded more often by people who put 75w blue colored halogen or "Xenon" bulbs in OEM housings. An HID bulb actually puts out less lumens than a 100w halogen bulb.

the only one I know of off the top of my head that isn't halogen high is the bajahid hi/lo kit

They are telescoping bulbs in the DDM kit. That was driving me nuts so i did some research on their site and found that.

how do these bulbs handle vibration?!?

back on the subject of hi/lo, i didnt feel like messing w/ much, especially no halogen highs! so i run lo only's, with hella 4000's as HIGHS.

do they hi/lo kits match color wise? or is it like turning off the HID and on a regular silverstarr bright?

I don't know this yet. They are on the way now. Thankfully no halogen highs. As for the color I will have to let you know on that! I ordered 5000k since they are the closest to white and I didn't want blue or purple lights since they look tacky IMO.

I am gonna do a comparison of sorts once I get them.

Last year I decided to upgrade my lighting and went with Delta H4 E-Code Housing, aftermarket harness, and PIAA bulbs. However, they are not up to my par anymore, and am looking for something brighter. Therefore, I've decided to go with HID's.

I was looking at DDM Tuning's 55w HID Kit and was wondering if they'd work well with my current housings.

Just so you know, that is low beams only. Im going through this now on F150. got it all hooked up, turned it on, no hi beams.

(not sure if this was mentioned, didnt read whole thread)

Uh you ordered the wrong one then! I ordered this kit: http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p=product&id=102&parent=85

You have to specify what you want and Hi/Lo is an option. I ordered the Raptor V2 55w H4 Hi/Lo kit with 5000k bulbs. That slim Kit has the Hi/lo option as well.

Yeah, didnt order from there. Got the link off the f150 forums, so reading what they all wrote, picked the light color and ordered. went back today (after) and saw the HI-Low section of that place.

waiting for an email back, figure im sending them back and getting the correct ones.

Every link i can find on that page, is for low beams only. high beams have a 3 wire harness, all those have 2.

I obviously plan on aiming them correctly, just as I did when I installed my current setup. Once properly aimed, I'm assuming I won't be blinding people.

What's a telescoping bulb?

It moves up and down depending on if its on Hi or Lo. More to go wrong but they are warrantied and DDM stands behind it.
