Haha, decided it was time to use a sway bar again... So I thought on how to make some new links...

Went into trusty tractor supply and came out with 2, 3/4" links, 3.5" long and some 3/4" tube. I decided to use the stock sway bar links off the axle and just weld the tube to links, drill a set od holes... and run a pin through it,..

Here's the end result, cost.. $20

Looks like that skinny little cross pin that is taking all the load will snap around the first corner...??

That thing will snap off around the first corner.... there is no bushing anymore.... something has to flex at the connecting link as the sway bar is loaded. Or that skinny little cross pin that is taking all the load will snap.
Sorry, but a little more thought was needed with this one!

Thats easy, cut a lil tube off the top, add a washer... rubber bushing... put the sway bar on it, and another bushing and washer above it then run the pin thru...:guitar:

I already got the supplies to do it, I noticed the clinking last night on the drive home.. Deff not overlooked

As mentioned you have no pivot point on the swaybar end.You run the risk of either the pin shearing or the weak tube you used bending.

Oh and just for good measure......

The fact that there's no flex built-in to the upper attach point looks sketchy. I foresee breakage there in your future.

nice droop but you are a poster child for "reasons why your brakes may fail". Shouldnt use your brake lines as limiting straps....

It was a snug fit and I could have moved them down another inch or two but the actual limit to my flex in that picture is the shock itself.Its not really a concern at this point since that Jeep no longer exist

Naaahhh, after the bushings It rides better and no clanking... this set-up is hardly any different from any after market kit besides the one pin instead of 2.. It may look and work a lil different but its no different in theory
