Heres what I did today...

Also Ken, If you notice the radius to the front of the throttle body adapter? That's totally only there because the aluminum you gave me had some wacky ass design milled into it so I just left that part there.

Yeah I used a handful of welding magnets. That shit might as well be in another dimension, I can't find it. I'm hoping it's something I can get from a hardware store. I think it would be something like a 1/16 or 3/32 roll pin but it's not like I got a good look at it as it was falling to the ground. You don't see it until it falls out and apparently it usually just falls back into the distributor for most people. You have to use both hands to get it out so it's not like I can prevent it from falling either.
damn, that sucks. I think a hard drive magnet is way stronger than a welding magnet but it's probably gone I guess... can you tell me more about where the reluctor roll pin would go? I'm looking at my 84-86 parts catalog in the distributor section and found the reluctor, but this shit might as well be chinese to me. I don't understand all the juju magic they used to make that crap work before EFI. I found a part described only as "PIN" that appears to go right into the reluctor, for an 84-86 5.9L it is part number J812 8463, don't see why it'd be different on a 79 with the same motor. Don't buy from that factorychryslerparts place I got screwed by, I bet Jeff has em, if not, the dealership probably won't ask more than 5 bucks and they used that part on all sorts of things up to the early 90s so it might even be in stock.

edit: damn, I didn't even notice. It looks like you meant for it to be there.

Found the cause of my engine knock...

New engine is in and almost done. I just need to replace the starter (a rivet broke off of it), wire up a few things, zip tie some stuff, install the header panel & radiator, and zip tie some more stuff.

Injecting fuel into the crankcase = explosive positive crankcase ventilation

I particularly like the mocha in the #5 cyl

The coolant and oil became best friends.

I bought a 97+ ax15 shifter and boot, 97+ clutch/brake pedal assembly, master/slave, and clutch safety switch, 98 zj 5.9 ecu, nv3500 tranny, clutch/pp/5.2 flywheel, and slave cyl for $210 plus a LOT of sweat.

The shifter boot and pedal crap is probably going into the 5.9 mj project... and the 3500 stuff just made up my mind on making the white mj a v8 too. Can't decide if I should do it the easy way with the old interior or go late model interior on that one too, though.

You've got some free time now... Might as well change it over to a newer interior.

finding the damn parts for it is impossible without spending another day in the junkyard... which I don't really feel like doing. I still have to find a parts donor for the 5.9 project, not sure I want to try and find another for the white MJ, nor try and find another late-model pedal assembly and whatnot.

:farmer:Looks good, but that wouldn't meet health and safety standards for on road livestock transport

Haha, I know. Nothing living will be on board that trailer.
Looks good Bill. What are you going to haul?
Variety of things from mulch to gravel to brush. Wish I had the money for a dump trailer, but this will do.

Shoveled almost all of the remaining roof demolition debris off the back porch and had easter dinner with my parents.

Tomorrow I gotta get a bazillion things done so I should probably have gone to sleep like two hours ago.
